cherryPAD–a 7-Incher Android Tablet

There’s no stopping for local mobile phone brand Cherry Mobile to include in its line a new tablet computer despite the lackluster performance of its first tablet–the Superion.

The Superion is now out of the shelf and Cherry Mobile appropriately replaced it with Android-run tablets. Not one but two new Androids: the 7-inch cherryPAD and the 10.1-inch Cherry Mobile Supreme priced at P6,999 and P16,899 respectively. I haven’t seen the Supreme as it’s yet to arrive here in Cebu.

I spotted the CherryPAD at the Cherry Mobile kiosk in SM City Cyberzone. It's a 7-inch Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) tablet.

Like the other 7-incher tablets from China, the CherryPAD's display is not as clear and crisp as the ones in branded tablets. The extra physical buttons side by side with the Home button can be a distraction especially if you hold the tablet in landscape. It's annoying when the back button is accidentally touch by your fingers.
