Pacquiao-Clottey Fight @ PLDT WatchPad

I hope PLDT has learned a lot of lesson from the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight last year when WatchPad subscribers were treated with stinky and intermittent feed.

Today, every subscriber of the PLDT DSL who are also WatchPad users can now enjoy the upcoming Pacquiao-Clottey fight on March 14, 2010, including the 990 subscribers.

However, 990 subscribers must confirm their registration to the Pacquiao-Clottey fight not later than March 1.

PLDT is doing this to control the number of subscribers who shall view the fight over WatchPad. During the Pacquiao-Hatton fight, PLDT WatchPad was swamped with duplicated subscribers (subcriber shared their username and password to others) resulting to over-subscription of the fight.

What is good with PLDT’s WatchPad is our ability to watch cable-only-seen channels like CNN, National Geographic, etc… and it’s FREE!

It has a strong password security requirement when you register to the service.

    • If you’d follow all the instructions, then there is no reason to fail. Otherwise, it’s on PLDT’s side that has a problem… In the meantime, may i suggest to raise your problem to PLDT.
