The sex of your baby depends on the specific chromosome that is in the sperm — it is thus true that the father “decides” on the sex of the baby.
Of course, it’s nothing conscious on his part. If a sperm carrying an X chromosome fertilizes the egg, the child becomes a girl — a boy was the product of an egg fertilized with a sperm carrying a Y chromosome. 😉

I’ve heard the acuracy of the Chinese Birthing Chart to be amazing. If nothing else it’s a very fun way of determining your baby sex.
