A law enforcer, who i caught on my cell phone cam, flagged down the jeepney that i was boarding last Saturday (Nov. 15, 2008) along the national hi-way in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
This law enforcer demanded the license of the driver but decided not to confiscate it. He was irked by the jeepney driver’s failure to stop on time when his car made a left turn to a gasoline station.
Without just and legal basis, he stopped the jeepney i boarded making delays and inconvenience to us passengers.
Does he has the authority to flag down the jeepney without legal basis?
This particular law enforcer should realize that he also violated the traffic law when he took a left turn on a national hi-way with a solid yellow line as seen in the picture.
