Family Matters

I was in Grade 3 when this picture was taken. This is the only picture, as a kid, that is left to me.

I’ve scanned this picture from a wood-laminated certificate that recognized me as one of the A1-Filipino Child awardees in 1976.
The award was given during the 1976 Children and Youth Achievement Week sponsored by the Children’s Museum and Library, Inc.
The certificate was with a gold medal–my first ever medal.
By the way, i was then studying at the Pilot Laboratory School in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.

I was wondering when i first went to school why my first name is ANANIAS.

Somebody explained that i am a “junior” to my father.

The other reason, maybe, we have more common facial features.

He is now a retired carpenter at age 75–spending more time sleeping, watching TV, and tending my mestizo german shepperd-japanese spitz.
